WHAT IS STRIP-TILL ?

Strip-till is a tillage technique consisting of working only a narrow strip of soil to sow crops, while leaving the rest of the field fallow or under plant cover.
The technique concerns all crops sown in rows (corn, sunflower, rapeseed, soya, beets, etc.).

It is part of the conservation agriculture approach, which aims to reduce soil disturbance and preserve its structure and fertility.

Strip-till is often associated with no-till, which involves sowing crops directly into the ground without prior tillage. This brings benefits in terms of cost reduction and preservation of soil resources.

The Unit

Accurate ground following for consistent depth control, row by row.
Each StripCat unit is mounted on a parallelogram with pneumatic suspension, ensuring precise and consistent ground following.
The pressure applied by the air cushions can be adjusted up to 600 kg via a control box in the cab.
The system allows for high working speeds.

Disc opener

Coupled with the two gauge wheels, the opening discs cut through vegetation.
The corrugations ensure soil loosening as well as vertical cracking.

Trash wheel

The patented trash wheels are an AGRISEM exclusive.
The staggered positioning of the two discs, their concave shape, and their working angle give them high efficiency in all conditions, without any clogging — whether in crop residue and chopped straw or in a dense cover crop.

Mounted on a parallelogram with an air cushion, the system allows precise adjustment of the residue cleaners’ aggressiveness, so that only the residues are moved — the soil stays on the row!

Non-stop safety

The hydraulic non-stop safety system with adjustable pressure allows adaptation to different working conditions.
Each unit is equipped with an accumulator located close to the safety mechanism.
A mechanical safety system is also available.

The Tine

The working depth of the tine is adjustable from 7 to 30 cm without the need for tools, allowing adaptation to any type of application.

This enables various combinations: solid / liquid / slurry fertilization, or seeding behind the tine.

It is also possible to replace the tine with:
– a rotary soil preparation system
– a shallow tine cultivator

Flexible, upgradeable solutions adaptable throughout the seasons.

Fertilizer localisation

Strip-till is perfectly suited for deep fertilizer placement within the row, right where it will be most effective!

To achieve this, we offer the installation of a complete distribution system — including a hopper, distribution head, delivery hoses, and decompression cyclones.

The packing wheel system features a pneumatic pressure adjustment, adjustable from the cab up to 600 kg.

This allows the aggressiveness of the wheels to be adapted according to conditions and the desired result — or even to lift them completely for autumn work.

SEEDING KIT

Multiply your possibilities

A complete seeding module specially designed for the StripCat can be installed to suit each project. Sow your rapeseed in a single pass with precision on firm ground, or take advantage of the soil’s freshness to successfully establish cover crops.
The kit consists of a disc seeding unit, a distribution system, and either a hopper or a metering head.

The seeding unit features a rocker-arm linkage that ensures consistent seeding depth. Once the assembly is mounted behind the press wheels, the disc’s soil contact is independently controlled from the StripCat by the closing wheel.
